Accton, Beceem Team Up for WiMAX CPE Solutions

Taiwan-based Accton announced on September 28 that it has inked a cooperation agreement with Bangalore-based Beceem Communications, a leading mobile WiMAX chipset provider. Under the agreement, Beceem Communications will authorize Accton to leverage its MS120 802.16e chipsets in Accton's 802.16e WiMAX CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) solutions, making this contract maker the first company to roll out 802.16e CPE.
